Shamela Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms apply to the Shamela mobile app (the “App”) for Android and iOS, published by Tazwat Technology. By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms and to the Tazwat Technology Terms of Service, including the terms for all Tazwat apps. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
2. About the App
A reader for the Arabic library of al-Maktaba al-Shamela: more than 7,000 classical books of hadith, tafsir, fiqh, history and language to browse, download and read offline, with footnotes, contents, bookmarks, highlights and notes.
Free. No in-app purchases. The app does not display ads.
3. Books and catalog
The books and their catalog come from al-Maktaba al-Shamela (shamela.ws). Shamela is an independent reader made by Tazwat Technology and is not affiliated with al-Maktaba al-Shamela. Texts are provided as they are published by the source; report errors in a book to the source.
4. Eligibility
Shamela is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.
5. Privacy
How the App handles your data is described in the Shamela Privacy Policy.
6. No Warranty and Limitation of Liability
The App is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tazwat Technology is not liable for any damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the App, including any decisions you make based on information shown in the App.
7. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Morocco, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
8. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms when the App changes. We will post the updated Terms on this page and update the “Last Updated” date above. Continuing to use the App after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
