Aji Tfter Privacy Policy

Last Updated: October 27, 2026

1. About This Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to the Aji Tfter mobile app (the “App”) for Android and iOS, published by Tazwat Technology (“we”, “us”). It explains what data the App stores on your device, what data leaves your device and why, and the choices you have.

  • App: Aji Tfter — A community map of free Ramadan Ftour (iftar) places in Morocco. Find places near you or in a chosen city, share a place, and confirm whether it served tonight.
  • Android package: com.ajitfter
  • iOS bundle ID: com.ajitfer
  • Languages: Arabic, French, English
  • Pricing: Free. No in-app purchases. The app does not display ads.
  • Account: You can browse places without an account. Sharing a place, confirming a place, reporting a problem or leaving a tip requires signing in with Google or Apple.

This page supplements the Tazwat Technology Privacy Policy. Where they differ, this page applies to the App.

2. Data Stored Only on Your Device

The following data is stored only on your device. It is never uploaded to us or to anyone else:

  • Places you save, and the places you answered today
  • Your weekly check count, reminder setting and language
  • Your last search area (its name and coordinates)
  • Your precise location while you use the app. It is used on your device to sort places by distance, work out Maghrib time and name your area.

Your precise location is never uploaded while you browse. To find nearby places, the app only asks our database for large map cells of about 40 km around you.

Your email address and profile photo are never published. They are shown only to you, in Settings and Profile.

3. Data Sent Off Your Device

The App sends only the following limited technical data off your device. None of it includes the data listed in Section 2.

Firebase Authentication (Google)

  • What is sent: A random anonymous user ID for every installation. If you sign in with Google or Apple: your account ID, name, email address and profile photo as provided by Google or Apple.
  • Why: To identify you when you share, confirm, report or leave tips, and to let you sign in on another device.

Cloud Firestore (Google), public places

  • What is sent: Places you share: name, type, host name, address, city, the map pin you choose, serving time, meals, menu and tags, up to 3 photos you add, your user ID as the author, and the time it was shared. Tips you leave: the text, your first name and last initial (for example “Youssef B.”) and your user ID.
  • Why: To show places and tips to everyone who uses Aji Tfter. This content is public: anyone using the app can see it, and the author user ID is stored with it. Do not include personal information about yourself or others in places, photos or tips.

Cloud Firestore (Google), confirmations and reports

  • What is sent: Your answer when you confirm a place (served, time changed, or not served), and reports you send (wrong location, not free, closed), with your user ID and the time.
  • Why: To keep places accurate. Only the total counts are public; your individual answers and reports are not shown to other users. Reports are reviewed so wrong places can be hidden.

Firebase Analytics (Google)

  • What is sent: Automatically collected app usage events (for example, app opened and screens viewed), an app instance ID, device and operating system information, and an approximate location that Google derives from your IP address.
  • Why: To understand how the app is used and improve it. It is not used for advertising. Tazwat Technology can switch analytics collection off remotely.

Firebase Crashlytics (Google)

  • What is sent: Crash reports and diagnostics, such as stack traces, device model and operating system version.
  • Why: To find and fix crashes and stability problems.

Firebase Remote Config, Installations, Cloud Messaging and App Check (Google)

  • What is sent: An installation ID, a push notification token and an app integrity token.
  • Why: To fetch feature settings and to protect our database from abuse. The Maghrib reminder is a local notification scheduled on your device.

Maps and geocoding (Google on Android, Apple on iOS)

  • What is sent: Map tile requests for the area you view, and the coordinates the app asks your phone’s built-in geocoder to turn into an area name.
  • Why: To display the map and name places. When you tap Directions, the place’s coordinates are opened in Google Maps or Apple Maps. Sharing to WhatsApp sends the text you choose to WhatsApp.

4. Third-Party Services

The App includes the following third-party software development kits (SDKs):

  • Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Analytics, Crashlytics, Remote Config, Installations, Cloud Messaging, App Check) (Google): Sign-in, the shared places database, usage analytics, crash reporting, feature settings and abuse protection, as described above. Our Firebase project is operated by Tazwat Technology. Provider privacy information.
  • Google Sign-In and Sign in with Apple (Google and Apple): Optional sign-in, needed to share, confirm, report or leave tips.
  • Google Maps SDK (Android) and Apple MapKit (iOS) (Google and Apple): Showing places on a map. Provider privacy information.
  • Google Mobile Ads SDK (AdMob) (Google): Included in the app, but ads are turned off. The app does not display ads and does not use advertising identifiers for advertising. Provider privacy information.

5. Advertising, Sale and Sharing of Data

Aji Tfter does not display ads and does not use advertising identifiers. Your data is not used for advertising or for tracking you across other companies’ apps and websites.

We do not sell your data and we do not share it with third parties for their own purposes. The providers listed in Section 4 (such as Google) act as our service providers (data processors) and process the data described in Section 3 only on our behalf.

6. Security

Data sent from the App to our service providers is encrypted in transit using HTTPS. Data stored on your device is protected by your device’s own security, such as your screen lock.

Privacy features

  • Location is optional: you can pick one of 16 Moroccan cities instead of granting location access.
  • Your email address and profile photo are never shown to other users. Tips show only your first name and last initial.
  • The Maghrib reminder is optional and scheduled on your device.

7. Data Retention and Deletion

  • Data on your device: Remove saved places in the Saved tab. Uninstalling the app, or clearing its data in your phone’s settings, permanently erases everything the app has stored on your device.
  • Data off your device: Delete your account in the app from Settings → Account → Delete account. This deletes your sign-in account. Places, photos and tips you shared stay public without your name on places; to have them removed, or to request deletion of your confirmations, reports, analytics and crash data, email [email protected] from the address of your account.
  • Retention: Places, photos and tips are kept while they are useful to the community, or until you ask us to remove them. Hidden or outdated places may be kept for moderation. Analytics and crash data are kept according to Google Firebase’s retention settings for our project.

8. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, or to object to its processing. Because the App does not ask for your name or email, the data we hold is linked only to anonymous identifiers. To exercise your rights, contact us at [email protected].

9. Children

Aji Tfter is a general-audience app. It is not specifically directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when the App changes. We will post the updated policy on this page and update the “Last Updated” date above.

11. Contact Us
